If a fear of the dentist is keeping you from the care you need, ask our office about intravenous (IV) sedation today. IV sedation allows patients with moderate to severe dental anxiety to relax comfortably while we work on your smile. And because IV sedation lets us precisely control your relaxation levels, we can tailor the sedation to your specific needs. Some patients may only need a little help relaxing, while others may prefer deep sedation. If you’re not sure which you need, or if IV sedation is even right for you, we can help you decide.
Patients who choose a light form of sedation typically remain conscious and able to answer questions during their visit. With deep sedation, patients can receive the care they need while sleeping peacefully in our office. But regardless of whether you choose a light form of sedation or deep sedation, you can look forward to experiencing the same peace of mind, and you’ll come through your appointment with little to no memory of it afterwards.

As with any procedure we perform, your physical safety is our top concern. To prepare for your appointment, do not eat or drink anything eight hours beforehand, except for prescription medications, unless advised otherwise. While you’re under sedation, your blood pressure, breathing, and heart rate will be closely monitored. It’s also important that you have a friend or family member with you to drive you home after your appointment and stay with you until your drowsiness wears off. You should be able to resume normal activities by the next day.
Don’t let your fear about visiting the dentist keep you from the smile of your dreams. Ask us if IV sedation is right for you today!
